Above and beyond what we expected. The staff was very friendly. The food and rooms were fairly priced. The suite we rented was supreme. The supper was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel.
When for brunch. Food is ok. It is good but not excellent. Decor is nice. But old fashion.
Positive: nice location. Bacon was good.Negatives: uninformed staff. Outdated rooms. No longer any tennis courts as per advertised on website. Squash court and gym non functional because of flooding issues but continued to advertise on website. Gym was outdated anyways with 80s style machines and a Chuck Norris flex machine with bands that snapped shut. Food is horrible. Supper was tasteless. At breakfast, scrabbled eggs were terrible so asked for omelette which consisted more of water than eggs. Sauna in men's section barely heats up. Hot tub water looked untreated. Very frustrating weekend. Nothing comes as advertised. Once upon a time, I'm sure it was nice but now..... Horrible.
The hotel is beautiful, rooms are big & the staff is very friendly. The lake & small waterfall add to the experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're in the area!
